About 60 persons attended the Interfaith Open House at the Butalia family home backyard on August 24, 2008 evening. As much-awaited rain began to pour just before dinner, everyone grabbed a dish and ran inside. A sumptuous potluck meal was shared by all inside the home. Soon the rain cleared out and a large circle of friends of faith was formed in the backyard. Prayers and tears were shared and Jim Reinoehl, one of the founding members of the Interfaith Open Houses who is now deceased, was honored by IACO. The gathering ended with four focus groups, three dealing with IACO committees and upcoming events, and one on Life After Death.
